The person behind ssslither
I'm Jordan Miller, and since 2004 I've run BreatheHeavy, one of the longest-standing fan communities on the internet. All those years taught me how to build a space people genuinely want to be in, and ssslither is where that goes next: a meetup app made for gay men, whether you're single, part of a couple, or the third in the room.

Building ssslither
2004
I built BreatheHeavy out of my bedroom in high school, back when it was nothing more than a Britney Spears fan site and I had no real idea what it would turn into. Somewhere along the way it grew into an actual community, part newsroom and part forum, a place where people who loved pop culture found each other and, more importantly, decided to stick around.
I have kept it running every single day since then, through the rise and fall of blogs and more algorithm changes than I could ever count, and after more than twenty years it is still standing and so am I. That kind of staying power is not something I take lightly, and it is exactly what I am bringing to this.
Free Britney
When fans started asking hard questions about what was really happening to Britney, the space I had spent years building quietly became one of the places they gathered to talk it through, organize, and make sure they were heard.
Watching thousands of people look out for pop culture royalty, and refuse to be ignored while they did it, showed me exactly what a community is capable of when it genuinely cares about the people inside it. That lesson has stuck with me ever since, and it is the whole reason I keep building.
2026
Because most of the apps we already have treat people like inventory. They are cold and transactional.
I wanted to build the opposite of all that: something elevated and honest, designed around how gay men actually meet, whether you are flying solo, part of a couple, or the third everyone is hoping to find.
Talk to me
If you have a question before you sign up, or you just want to say hi, send me a message. It does not go to a support bot or a ticket queue, it comes straight to me, and I read every single one. I can't always promise a fast reply, but you are reaching an actual person.

Why it's different
Singles are not a side note here. Tap another single, message just one person in a couple, or be the third a couple is hoping to meet. It is your call, kept one on one and private.
Two logins, one shared profile, so people meet you as a couple. From there you each message on your own terms. You set your own rules, not the app.
We open one city at a time so it feels real and local from day one. Founding members get 3 months of ssslither+ free when their city opens.
Profiles are never public on the open web, never indexed by search engines, and your email is never shown to other members.
ssslither opens one city at a time. Pre-register now and founding members get 3 months of ssslither+ free the day their city goes live. It takes under a minute.
