Ariana Grande and her truth will not sit in silence.
The Trump campaign posted a TikTok using Grande’s 2024 single “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love)” to soundtrack anti-trans messaging, opening with the song’s own lyrics before cutting to captions arguing trans women shouldn’t compete in sports.
Ariana responded directly in the comments: “Never use my music again. Also, your truth is false.”
Her label is reportedly working to get the song pulled from the clip.
This isn’t the first time Ariana has called out the administration. In June, she pushed back after the White House used her song “Bye” in a pro-ICE video.
She now joins a growing list of artists, including Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter, Olivia Rodrigo, Katy Perry, Kesha, and the Rolling Stones, who’ve objected to their music being used in Trump-aligned content without permission.
Sorry trunk!
